Discussion Group Meeting

As part of WaterProtect research, we are sampling private wells (supplying residential properties and farms) in the two Wexford catchments (Castledockrell and Ballycanew). All wells will be sampled for conventional water quality indicators as well as for a suite of 17 acid herbicides and a range of the subsequent metabolites or transformation products. To date, 98 wells have been identified with permission to sample them provided by the owner. Discussion group meetings (as shown in the photo) were extremely useful for presenting WaterProtect aims while recruiting well owners.
